It is the smallest (0.1%) but the most biologically diverse replanted mountain forest in Hong Kong, inhabiting 130 species of birds (540 in Hong Kong), including crested eagles, four-voiced cuckoos, thrushes and the endangered sunflower cockatoo; 110 species of butterflies (230 in Hong Kong), including the legally protected swallowtail butterfly ; 25 species of reptiles (76 in Hong Kong) and 10 species of amphibians (24 in Hong Kong), including short-legged horned toads, while mammals include barking deer, East Asian porcupines, wild boars, red-bellied squirrels, etc. New species discovered here by biologists from the University of Hong Kong The ant species called "Golden Tree Ant" is a hot spot for scientific research and a paradise for ecology enthusiasts. Lung Fu Mountain has experienced two large-scale deforestation due to Hong Kong's post-war reconstruction and timber shortages. After it was denuded and then forested, it was destroyed again. Today's dense mountain forest is the result of many years of careful planting. Although there are no more tigers, it is unexpected that they have become animals. They are a paradise for them to live in and are willing to multiply and take root. There is no blame for humans for forcing them into a small area. I sincerely hope that we will still work hard to protect this paradise for them now or many years from now: Lung Fu Shan Country Park. A countryside without the chirping of birds and insects is just a park. This episode takes everyone on a trip to 3 major rivers to find unique river ecology, 2 wildlife observation points and 1 post-war relic. Welcome to subscribe @Raymond2021
